Diaspora-Friendly Employer: A Joint Initiative by the Employment Service and the Ministry of Economy and Innovation.
This initiative aims to encourage Lithuanian expatriates to return home and continue their careers by joining local companies. A key element in promoting return migration is fostering a positive attitude among employers towards hiring individuals with international experience. To support this goal, businesses meeting specific criteria will be awarded the Diaspora-Friendly Employer badge, recognising their commitment to welcoming talent from abroad.
The Diaspora-Friendly Employer badge serves as a marketing tool, sending a clear message to Lithuanians living abroad: the company is open and eager to welcome returning expatriates into its workforce. It also aims to assist them in exploring career opportunities and building their professional futures in Lithuania.
The key principles guiding this initiative are trust, openness, and internationalism.
