The aim of the project is to help unemployed people over 55 who registered in the Public Employment Service to acquire qualifications, improve their skills and integrate into the labor market.

During the project implementation, 6500 unemployed over 55 years of age registered in the Public Employment Service will be involved in vocational training and non-formal education.

7500 unemployed people over 55 who are registered with the Employment Service will be included in the employment subsidy.

The target group of the project is the unemployed over 55 years of age, registered with the Public Employment Service.

During the implementation of the project, 12210 unemployed belonging to the target groups of the project will be involved in vocational training, 600 will be involved in apprenticeships, 1400 will be included in the traineeship and 1350 in the recognition of non-formal and informal learning.

It is also planned that during the project implementation, 7700 unemployed persons belonging to the target groups of the project will be involved in subsidization and 2700 in support of the acquisition of work skills.

A total of 1,000 unemployed people involved in project activities will benefit from mobility support.

The aim of the project is to help the unemployed registered with the Employment Services, including the long-term, unskilled and disabled, to acquire qualifications, to improve their competence and to integrate into the labor market.

The aim of this project is to improve the activity of the Public Employment Service by developing special skills for employees, developing measures for improving the quality of services, focusing in the quality and results of the provided services.

The following project objectives are expected to be implemented:

  • Strengthen specific skills of employees directly related to the performance of functions;
  • To improve quality of services of the Public Employment Service, to develop new services;
  • Ensure the continuity of EURES activities and the improvement of service quality.

During the implementation of the project, 1880 people from the target group of the project will be able to establish first workplace.

The aim of the project is to increase the employment of the unemployed by supporting job creation.

The target group of this project is young people up to 29 years o fage and disabled people of working age, who have a 30-55% capacity for work, or an average or mild disability level, or those who have been unemployed for the first time and has not started a business. not later than 30 months after the date of termination of the last registration with the Employment Service.

Project activities include support for job creation, subsidizing job creation / adaptation, implementation of local employment initiative projects and support for self-employment.

Project „Creation of National Part of the EESSI System of the Republic of Lithuania“

On January, 2017, Employment Service under the Ministry of Social Security and Labour of the Republic of Lithuania (former Lithuanian Labour Exchange under the Ministry of Social Security and Labour) together with Project partners Ministry of Social Security and Labour, State Social Insurance Fund Board under the Ministry of Social Security and Labour and the National Health Insurance Fund under the Ministry of Health begun the implementation of the Project “Creation of National Part of the EESSI System of the Republic of Lithuania“ No 2016-LT-IA-0022, co-financed by the European Union‘s CEF Telecom instrument.

Project implementation period: from January 15, 2017 to January 14, 2019 (24 months).

Project coordinator: Ministry of Social Security and Labour.

Administrating institution: Central Project Management Agency.

Project aim: implementation of the national part of EESSI system, as required by the coordination regulations.

Joining the EESSI system will provide advantages to the society. Citizen requests will be processed more efficiently, waiting time for confirmation of social insurance periods acquired in other Member States as well as calculation and payment of the benefits will be reduced. Meanwhile, social security institutions will also benefit from implementation of ESSSI system. Electronic exchange of information will allow standardizing flows of information, optimizing verification and collection of data. Better multilingual communication that will result from the use of common structured documents will be achieved as well.

Employment Service under the Ministry of Social Security and Labour of the Republic of Lithuania will be responsible for the national application for exchanging information related to registration in public employment office, retaining the unemployment benefit, job search and other issues concerning coordination of unemployment benefits under the competence of Lithuanian Employment Service.

Development of the State Information Resource Interoperability Platform (VIISP) Portal for Users, Development of Platform Data Exchange Tools, Creation of Shared Services

Project promoter – Information Society Development Committee under the Ministry of Transport and Communications.

The aim of the project is to improve the service of residents, businesses and institutions in the VIISP environment by introducing technologically innovative electronic solutions and providing advanced public and administrative services to residents and businesses by increasing the accessibility of electronic services.

Project tasks:

  • Develop / modernize VIISP functionality enabling advanced electronic public and administrative services to enhance data exchange efficiency;
  • Create new complex electronic services for residents / businesses and general-use services for institutions on the VIISP portal.
